Oggyatonama, a directorial venture of Tauqir Ahmed, is going to premiere at Marche du Film, the business counterpart of the Cannes Film Festival and one of the largest film markets in the world.
Produced by Impress Telefilm Ltd, the film will be screened at the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès, the venue for the Cannes Film Festival, on May 17, at 6pm. This year, Marché will be held from May 11 to 20, while the 69th Cannes Film Festival is scheduled to be held from May 11 to 22.
Producers, directors, actors and journalists from all over the world who are invited to the 69th Cannes Film Festival, would be able to watch the film.
Faridur Reza Sagor, the managing director of Impress Telefilm Ltd (ITL), Ibne Hasan Khan, the director of marketing and sales of ITL, and Tauqir Ahmed have confirmed to attend the Marché du Film.
The fourth directorial venture of Tauqir Ahmed chronicles the life of expatriates in Middle East, which casts Mosharraf Karim, Nipun, Shahiduzzaman Selim, Shatabdi Wadud and Fazlur Rahman Babu in the leads.
According to Impress Telefilm Ltd, there’s already few renowned world film distributors including Warner Bros, Eros and MK2, who have expressed their interest in the film.
